Caravan Upholstery Cleaning
Inspection
I begin by identifying the type of upholstery fibre—whether synthetic or natural—as well as the construction method. This helps determine the most effective cleaning solutions and stain removers. I also assess the type and extent of staining to tailor the treatment accordingly.
Stain Removal
Stains are treated before the main cleaning process begins. If any marks remain afterward, I reapply the stain removal treatment to ensure the best possible result.
Pre-Treatment
A specialised pre-spray is applied to break down dirt, allergens, and stains embedded in the fabric. Where necessary, agitation with a bristle brush is used to lift soil from deep within the fibres, preparing the upholstery for effective extraction.
Deep Cleaning
Using a high-powered Airflex extraction unit, I clean the upholstery with a low-pH, mildly alkaline solution combined with an antibacterial deodoriser. This ensures a deep clean without leaving sticky residues that cause rapid resoiling. In high-soil areas, an acid rinse is used to neutralise any remaining alkalinity, soften the fibres, and restore a balanced pH—similar to the effect of using a shampoo and conditioner.
